From the first video call to the deed in your name, and who does what at each stage.

Six stages

  1. A first conversation, in your own language, about what you actually want and what you want to avoid.

  2. A shortlist and a video tour of each unit on it, so that a trip confirms a decision instead of starting a search.

  3. A visit, usually two or three days, with viewings and a meeting at the developer’s office.

  4. Reservation: the unit comes off the market for an agreed period while your lawyer runs the checks.

  5. Contract signature and registration at the Land Registry, with the payment plan attached to the contract.

  6. Delivery, and then the transfer of the title deed into your name.

You keep the same advisor from the first call to the deed.
