Frequently asked
Answers are short and sourced. For a legal assessment, consult your own independent lawyer.
In which languages can I be advised?
Every advisor profile lists the languages that advisor speaks. Name the language you want in your message and your enquiry is routed accordingly.
Do I have to fly out to buy?
A purchase can be prepared from home: a live video tour, the documents by email, and the signing handled through a lawyer you appoint. The “Buying from abroad” page sets out every step. You are welcome to visit at any point, and nothing in the process requires it.
Which costs come on top of the price?
Purchase costs such as taxes, fees and legal work are set out in a written cost table for the specific project before you commit to anything. Ask your advisor for it and it is sent to you.
How do I know which title deed a home has?
Turkish, exchange and allocation title deeds are the three types you will meet. The title deed type is stated on every listing where it is known; if it is not, we confirm it in writing at the first meeting.
Can a home be held for me before I decide?
Yes, for a fixed period, once a reservation form is signed. The deposit amount, the holding period and what happens if the purchase does not go ahead are stated in that form, per project, before any payment is made.
Know which deed you are buying, in advance
The simplest type of deed; the transfer is made directly at the Land Registry.
A deed the TRNC state issued in exchange for equivalent property; common and freely tradeable.
A deed issued by allocation; the transfer conditions differ and a lawyer must review it.
The title deed type is stated on every listing where it is known; if it is not, we confirm it in writing at the first meeting. The legal assessment is made by your own independent lawyer.
