What a video tour can and cannot show

A video tour answers most questions about a property. These are the ones it cannot, and what we do instead.

We walk video tours for buyers sitting in Munich, Warsaw or Stockholm. The camera is better than people expect at some things and useless at others, and being clear about which is which is the whole job.

What the camera is good at

  • Layout, and whether rooms are the shape the floor plan suggests.

  • Light through the day, if we walk the same unit twice at different hours.

  • Finish quality up close, which photographs quietly flatter.

  • The immediate surroundings, including the building site next door that no listing photo contains.

What still needs a person

Noise, the smell of a stairwell, how a lift sounds, how long the walk to the beach really feels in August heat. For those we tell you what we know from having been there, and we say when we do not know.
